Rocking Horse Restoration

"Cracker"
Cracker is an antique rocking horse made by G&J Lines Ltd around 1910. He is presented above with all original paintwork and tack. This was a conservation project rather than restoration, and his saddle has been lined with old leather to retain and stabilise its original form. Only his stirrup leathers and saddle blanket are replacements. He bears the badges on the top rail joints of the stand, fitted to Lines horses around the turn of the twentieth century.
